Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the heart - this method of diagnosing heart disease, based on scanning the magnetic field changes within the body. Computer processing of signals creates a series of images in two or three projections, as in the statics and dynamics. This yields an image of the heart in different planes, allowing to obtain information not only on the functioning of the heart muscle, but also of the valves, the state of the heart chambers, the walls.
As with MRI can be a moving image, by using this method can estimate the pumping function of the heart, a change in the cells during contraction (systole), to monitor blood flow to the heart and great vessels (aorta, pulmonary artery, etc.). Also can be seen on the MRI anatomical malformations of the heart.
MRI can see the coronary arteries and their status, when you can see how different parts of the heart supplied with blood, lowering the myocardial ischemia.
MRI does not mean the X-ray radiation (the principal difference of CT)!
The unique capabilities of MRI can take advantage of this method in the diagnosis of heart disease: coronary heart disease, myocardial hypertrophy, right ventricular abnormalities, pericarditis, tumors, valvular, congenital malformations etc.

For the first time computed tomography as a nondestructive method of study of the internal structure of the object appeared in the 70s of last century, and the theoretical foundations of their own appearance of this diagnostic method were laid in 20 years. Now it is difficult to imagine a modern high-tech...
